A variety of activities are planned for our 150th celebration this year.
All evening services will begin at 7:30 this year.
Dr. Mark Rutland will be preaching on the first Saturday night. The North Rome Church of God Choir will also be singing this night.
The first Sunday will be our Memorial Service with Dr. Gil Watson preaching. It will also be Old Fashioned Day. We would like for everyone to dress in Old Fashioned attire from the past. We will have dinner on the grounds on this Sunday. The menu will be Fried chicken, 2 sides, bread, dessert and tea. The cost will be $7.00 for adults. Children 12 and under are free. We will need a head count by Friday, June 29th via email, text or call to LauraM2011@comcast.net.
On the last Saturday, we have a chuck wagon coming to set up and cook for us. They will be cooking beans, cornbread, and cobbler. We will also have chuck roast, slaw and tea. Cost will be $10 for adults. Children 12 and under $5.00.
On Tuesday night our speaker will be Lieutenant Colonel Mockabee, the program secretary of The Salvation Army, US Southern Territory. The Salvation Army band will also perform.
Reverend Mike Garrett and the Dykes Creek Baptist Church will be at our Wednesday night service.
We are also excited to have food trucks coming on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. They will be setting up under the trees from 5:00 – 7:00.
We are renting a big tent, tables and chairs so we will have a shady place for everyone to eat meals.
Friday night will be our youth service. Zach Mathis will be our preacher.
On both Saturday mornings, we will have memory services. Each cabin will be sharing memories of campmeetings past.
We will have t-shirts available before campmeeting begins so they can be worn during the week. They will also be available for sale during the week. More information to follow about this.
The beautiful picture of the arbor will be for sale. More info later.
We are bringing watermelons back for Tuesday night after the service.
Ice-cream supper will be on Thursday night after the evening service as usual.
Pease check our website often as the calendar will be updated.
